Tantra - the path of integration

There is a widespread, yet limited view in what Tantra really is. Many people have ideas of certain sexual practices and sensual experiences. Some associate Tantra with drugs and black magic. These are usually considered the dark side of Tantra, just as any science and or religion can have deeply immoral or bad aspects.

True Tantra is revealing and empowering for body, mind and soul. It is an embodiment of the highest form of healing. Deep healing can only occur when our body, breath, mind and consciusness support each other. When they are disjointed, we may struggle to function, we may fall sick, become old, and die. With Tantra, we have techniques for reconnecting our body, our breath, mind and consciousness, allowing them to work and support each other. Enlightenment will occur indeed, when emotional strugggle and intellectual chaos, mental stupor and karmic impurities no longer block the flow of our inner light.

We all know, in today’s world we need a healthy body and mind plus full integration between them to be in optimal health, have abundance and feel joy. With Tantra, we can use practices to access the wisdom of the body and the power of the mind. We can create success in the outside world and spiritual awareness and expansion.

During my Tantra sessions, we explore techniques for entering the divine inner world and experiencing our oneness with the divinity within. We are using asanas (movement) and pranayamas (breathworks), guided body-awareness and chakra meditations, soft body touch and energy point stimulation. They are all working together to move you out of the ego (This happened to me…, or I need that…, or what will I experience) into a peaceful and tranquil state of feeling at home in your heart and your body.

Cultivating a calm and clear mind is the first and foremost practice of Tantra. Infusing the mind with prana shakti, the radiant, vibrant life force. The mind will reclaim clarity, insight and the power of discenrnment. The breath is the most tangible movement of prana in the body. When we breathe into our sacrum, our toes, our heart, we are linking conscious awareness to the breath.

And, what do the chakras have to do with Tantra? The chakras are fields of energy, or concentrated consciousness, where the pranic forces are shaped for a particular purpose.

There are five major chakras. They are vortices, charged fields of life force energy operating the organs, glands and vital organs of the body and mind. Muladhara is corresponding to the pelvic floor and the element of the earth, Svadhishtana connects to the pelvis and the element of water, manipura to the navel and the element of fire, anahata chakra to the heart and the element of air, and vishuddhi to the throat and the element of space. There are also ajna chakra in your head and sahasrara above the crown of the head.

One way of understanding the first three chakras is from the perspective of survival (earth), pleasure (water) and power (fire). Spiritual practice starts with these three powerful pranic centres since access to higher realms of consciousness is not easily accessible if we are week , or our energy is completely driven by survival instincts and the self-centred pursuit of pleasure or power.

Many spiritual teachings and religions guide us to the heart as the essence of our emodiment. In Tantra the heart is at the centre, it lies between the heavens and the earth, between the animal nature and the noble qualities of the divine. Many metaphors in our language and in ancient languages have been found and arose from the universal experience of cardiac activity in response to emotions, exercise and mental activity due to its autonomic regulation by the brain. “Take heart” means to have courage, “Speak from the heart” expresses sincerity. “Get to the heart” of something is to find out what is truly important, “pour your heart out” is to get to the bottom of something. The heart is the only organ that can move itself. In our Tantra sessions, we explore the subtle energies that guide the heart and connect it to other parts of the body and to consciousness.

If you are interested to learn more about Tantra or the embodied way of life, feel free to call or text. I am excited to support men and women in their quest for forgiveness and happiness. To truly relax their bodies into pleasure and healing. This might not happen in one session, yet this session wil create a shift in awareness and a deeper understanding.

A Tantra session is deeply somatic energy work. As with all healing practices, a good connection to your practicioner is important. Not every practicioner works for each person. If you are unsure if a Tantra session with Blysse is right for you, you could consider booking in for a 60 min-regular bodywork session which may help you to decide on that. This could be a nourishing remedial/relaxation massage, the powerful Kahuna bodywork or caring Heartworks Lomi Lomi.

Much love and light,
